Should I screen my basement windows?

Although in Arizona there are very few basements, some customers ask us if they should put window sunscreens on their basement windows.

To answer the question, we recommend doing so if the sun is directly hitting those windows or if you basement gets really hot during the day. It also depends greatly on how big your basement windows are.

Most basement windows are usually under the ground and are not likely to get hit by direct sunlight so in most cases it is not necessary.

As for REGULAR insect screens we most definitely recommend that all basement windows have these. They will keep pests and flys out when you open up your basement windows to get some fresh air!
